Hi friends, To backup is to make spare copies of folders and store them separately to the originals. If you have a backup, you’re protected if, for example, you delete a video by mistake. Then you can take it again for backup device or cloud where you store this video. It’s normal to back up your files on to a different storage device from your computer’s hard drive – its main memory store. That way, if your hard drive gets damaged you can still restore all the information on your computer and be up and running quickly.
How frequently you back up will depend on how often you use your PC and what you use it for. The average user will probably just have to back up any important files as and when they are changed and do a full back-up once a week/month. One rule of thumb would be if the important files change daily, back-up daily, if they change weekly, back-up weekly, and so on.
There is no one-for-all for backup media. A best fit backup media depends on various factors: the importance of the data, the volume or size of the data and of course and the available tools and resources. As backup copies are supposed to be stored separately from the originals, removable media are recommended.
